Accuracy & quality assurance CSSGB
CSSGB Quest publishes original study material for the Six Sigma Green Belt certification. This page describes how content is checked and what we can and cannot guarantee.
How content is checked
- ✓ Worked examples are recalculated. Numeric examples (takt time, RTY, DPMO, Cpk, RPN, OEE, DOE effects) are recomputed by hand or in code during review.
- ✓ BoK alignment. Pages are mapped to the six sections of the 2022 CSSGB Body of Knowledge, using the section names and question counts published for that BoK.
- ✓ Original wording. Explanations, scenarios and questions are written from scratch, not copied or closely paraphrased from ASQ materials, prep books or exam questions. Worked examples use fictional companies and products.
- ✓ Rules of thumb are labeled. Where sources differ (for example %GRR bands, run-chart and control-chart rules, or Cpk targets), the page says so and gives the common version.
BoK coverage and depth
The 2022 CSSGB Body of Knowledge has six sections, and the exam has 100 scored questions (plus 10 unscored). The depth on this site is pitched at Green Belt level: applying and interpreting tools rather than deriving them.

Not affiliated with ASQ. CSSGB Quest is independent study material. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or connected to the American Society for Quality (ASQ). CSSGB is a certification of ASQ.
No guarantee of exam result. Passing a practice diagnostic or reading our content does not guarantee you will pass the CSSGB exam. The actual exam content is determined by ASQ and is not available to us.
BoK may change. ASQ periodically updates the CSSGB Body of Knowledge. Content follows the 2022 BoK; there may be a lag after any later revision.

How diagnostic questions are written
Each diagnostic question follows these rules:
- Exactly one defensible answer, checked by solving the question independently.
- Distractors target the most common misunderstandings for that topic — not arbitrary wrong answers.
- Explanations say why the answer is right and, where useful, why the main distractors are wrong.
- No question reproduces, closely paraphrases, or is derived from a known official exam question.
